Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TxBooks attxbooks.app(“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

TxBooks is a Bitcoin-native bookkeeping platform. You connect a wallet by pasting an extended public key (xpub / ypub / zpub / tpub / upub / vpub); the Service syncs the resulting addresses against public blockchain data, categorizes transactions, and generates tax-ready reports (for example Form 8949 and Schedule C CSVs).

The Service is read-only by design. We never request, receive, or store your private keys or seed phrase, and you must never paste them. The Service cannot spend from your wallet.

• You must be 18 or older.
• You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
• You warrant that any wallet public key you add is either yours or added with the owner's permission.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account, including actions by members you invite to your Organization.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up-to-date.

4.1 Trial

Each Organization is eligible for one free trial of up to 14 days. Trials are per-Organization, not per-individual, to prevent trial-farming.

4.2 Paid plans

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

4.3 Refunds

We offer refunds at our discretion within 14 days of a charge if you were billed due to a material product defect we failed to fix. Contact support@txbooks.app and we'll review the situation.

4.4 Taxes

Prices are exclusive of applicable VAT / sales tax, which will be added at checkout where required.

4.5 Price changes

We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply at your next billing cycle, and you may cancel before they take effect.

Data you enter (wallet xpubs, labels, categorizations, notes) belongs to you. We process it only to operate the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time from your account settings.

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test the Service without written permission
• Add wallet public keys you do not own or have permission to monitor
• Use the Service to launder funds, evade taxes, or facilitate fraud
• Interfere with other users or our infrastructure
• Circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or access controls
• Resell or sublicense the Service
• Use automated scripts beyond normal human usage patterns

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

TxBooks generates bookkeeping reports and tax-ready exports, but we are not a tax preparer, accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor. Reports are informational and you should review them with a qualified professional before filing. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of tax filings made using our exports.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of reports, or uninterrupted availability. Blockchain data providers can be unavailable or incorrect; BTC price references can lag; wallet formats evolve. You are responsible for verifying critical information against independent sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TxBooks and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including (without limitation) lost profits, lost tax savings, penalties, interest, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in that same period.

You agree to defend and indemnify TxBooks against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights (including adding a wallet public key without authorization).

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms, for illegal activity, or to comply with legal requirements. On termination we will retain billing records as described in the Privacy Policy and delete the rest within 30 days.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which TxBooks is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes not resolved informally will be handled exclusively in the state and federal courts of that jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in class actions.
